David Howard Memorial Trophy
This trophy was instigated by Mr Keith Gladwin in Memory of the late David howard.The cup was sponsered by I.O.G. Williams Roofing
In its first year a game was organised between Tonmawr under 11's and Tondu with Tondu coming out winners.
For the season 2008-09, the current Tonmawr under 11's took on Aberavon Schools at the Whitworth ground.On a perfect evening, the Tonmawr side ran in seven tries to Aberavon's one, the final score being 43 -5 to Tonmawr.The memorial cup was presented to Davids grandson Callum, who played scrum half in the game,by Ospreys flanker, Steve Tandy.Our thanks go to Aberavon Schools,Mr. Phil Oleary and sponsor of the cup IOG Williams Roofing.

Season 09/10
This season, david was remembered by a schools year 7 tournament , played to seven a side rules.Schools represented were Sandfields, Cymmerafan, Cwrt Sart, Glanafan and Dyffryn.Eventual winners were Cwrt Sart, with, fittingly, two Tonmawr boys, Charlie davies and nathan watkins in their line-up.
